ATTENDANT REFERRAL SERVICES

Program Coordinator |
For many people with disabilities it is absolutely critical to have in-home, personal assistance for a wide range of daily activities. These activities typically include getting in and out of bed, dressing and personal hygiene, shopping and cooking assistance, and getting household chores done. The availability of quality, reliable attendant services are often the difference between a disabled person staying in their home rather than being forced to move into a rest home. CID supplies consumers with disabilities a list of attendants that they can use to choose an in-home worker for themselves. We also offer suggestions on how to choose an attendant and how to supervise them. Referrals are also made to the San Mateo Public Authority for individuals qualified for State In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS).
