California is leading the nation by launching ground breaking technology for online voter registration. Many disability community organizations and our coalition partners collaborated with the California Secretary of State to make sure this tool is accessible for people with disabilities. This summit will feature representatives from the Secretary of State's office, the Voting Accessibility Advisory Committee and others discussing the road to building the accessible on line voter registration system. Then explore opportunities to learn how to use this tool to organize and build capacity of the disability vote through in person interaction, Internet tools and social media. Participants will learn how to use California’s electronic voter registration tool across long distances like rural communities to compete in an often metro-driven election world.
