In recognition of the upcoming 25th Anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) July 26, 2015, Menlo students enrolled in PSY/SSC 482, Understanding Disabilities class, organized a Disability Awareness Exhibit.— at Menlo College.

Invite to Art Show
The 2014 Commission on Disabilities' Art Showcase, featuring local artists with disabilities was a total hit! 

Art was displayed from October 1st through the 21st in the Caldwell Gallery, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm (free and open to the public) 

The Artists' Reception & Silent Auction took place on Tuesday, October 21st from 5pm to 7:30pm in the Caldwell Gallery in the Hall of Justice located at 400 County Center in Redwood City. Most of the Artist's work was sold.

Beyond Paratransit: 21st Century Mobility

Hosted by the Alameda County Transportation Commission at the Ed Roberts Campus in Berkeley, this mobility workshop was both informative and a hit. Topics such as Transportation Network Companies (TNCs), Transportation Access to Healthcare, as well as a 211 Website Demonstration made for a captive audience.

DES Architects & Engineers 2014 Health and Wellness Fair

Come join CID at the DES 2014 Architects and Engineers Fair at 399 Bradford Street in Redwood City from 11-1:30 on Friday, October 10th.

A variety of organizations are participating to promote financial, environmental, physical, and emotional wellness.

There will be an on-site Blood Pressure and Blood Drive, as well as a Food Drive.

Held each October, NDEAM aims to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America's workers with disabilities.
